I snapped this shortly after taking off on Tuesday morning. It was one of the clearest days for flying I’ve ever experienced. We just about flew over my parents’ house way east in the suburbs while turning around to head for Toronto.
Pictured here: downtown Ottawa, the Byward Market, Sandy Hill, the Glebe, Lansdowne Park (at the very bottom of the photo; current site of a controversial public land grab by a private developer), the Ottawa River (north), the Rideau Canal (cutting through downtown), and the Rideau River (to the east).
Sorry it’s blurry. I think someone’s greasy face had been pressed against the glass on a previous flight.
New segregated bike lanes (+ graffiti!) on Laurier Avenue in Ottawa.

Dude I got totally Bay’d last night.
(This sophisticated vodka cooler with the essence of the tropics is awful)
