I just booked a flight home for $170! A really close friend of mine from high school is getting married in August, and she has asked me to MC her wedding. I was honoured to be asked, but I’m getting nervous as the date approaches. I had a dream the other night that it was the day before the wedding and I had no material written (yes, I’m treating this like it’s a stand-up set). 

She told me not to worry about it and to just be funny. I don’t care about talking in front of a lot of people, but you want me to be funny in a scripted way? Most of my humour is a) too dry to tell if I’m being serious or not, b) in response to something, and c) dirty. Mix this with an open bar and we might be in trouble. 

Ahh well, no one remembers their wedding day anyway, right?
