Well I can’t think of a better commercial.

I love infographics, especially when they’re used to illustrate urban planning issues.
This one from the Globe and Mail compares the length and cost of the Eglinton LRT to other subway and LRT projects in cities around North America. If built as it is now planned (the whole thing underground - a horribly misguided and needelessly expensive decision given the huge road widths of Eglinton in the suburbs), it will be the longest underground LRT tunnel on the continent.

It turned out the camera lens on my phone was severely scratched. $30 and ten minutes after visiting the Apple store, I was able to resume taking clear photos of my feet. Lucky for you guys.

!!!!!!!!!!

After spending 15 hours on campus today during which I handed in two big projects (one of which I started yesterday, oops), gave two presentations, and drank three cups of coffee, fall term is over!

This means I can devote considerably more time to watching Anderson, seeing my boyfriend, and being a hypochondriac (seriously don’t google chronic knee pain - it always ends up being cancer or hiv … OR BOTH?!?!?).

When my boyfriend says…

“This is Mike’s favourite song,” and then plays Superbass, you know it’s serious.

Friday was my birthday. This is the card my parents sent me and it is perfect. It’s almost like the puppy is telling me what a terrific son I am.
I have a good feeling about 28.

I snapped this shortly after taking off on Tuesday morning. It was one of the clearest days for flying I’ve ever experienced. We just about flew over my parents’ house way east in the suburbs while turning around to head for Toronto.

Pictured here: downtown Ottawa, the Byward Market, Sandy Hill, the Glebe, Lansdowne Park (at the very bottom of the photo; current site of a controversial public land grab by a private developer), the Ottawa River (north), the Rideau Canal (cutting through downtown), and the Rideau River (to the east).

Sorry it’s blurry. I think someone’s greasy face had been pressed against the glass on a previous flight.
